An Australain public prosecutor is defending himself on a charge of possessing child pornography by claiming to be "addicted" and "unable to stop" himself" from downloading images from the Internet.

Patrick Power was in court attempting to have have a 15 month sentence reduced. The original sentence came about after a routine inspection found numerous child pornography photos and videos on his PC.
Yesterday, his attorney pleaded that he suffered from chronic depression and was simply unable to put a stop to the addiction that kept him downloading Internet pornography.
