Netsurit has once again been recognised as one of the top finalists at the 2007 Microsoft Partner Program Awards, which takes place on 11 July in Denver, Colorado at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference.
This year the Sandton-based IT company has been nominated in not one, but two categories, namely ‘Partner of the Year Award in Networking Infrastructure Solutions’ and ‘Partner of the Year Award in Competing to Win: Linux/LAMP’.
The awards recognise Microsoft’s top partners worldwide and Netsurit is only one of four South African Companies being considered this year.
The Networking Infrastructure Solutions Partner of the Year award honours partners that have infrastructure practices with proven proficiency in implementing solutions based on the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 or Windows Server 2003 Operating Systems. These awards also recognize partners with innovative services-based solutions that help small and midsize customers realize their potential by providing operational efficiencies with the help of Windows Server and other related infrastructure technologies.
The winning partner has provided its customers with technology solutions that have resulted in core infrastructure transformation; whether this was their first server or it was a migration from competitive or legacy systems, this partner helped customers build a strong infrastructure foundation layer that supports their business goals.
The Linux/LAMP award recognizes partners who have won customers on the Windows Server or desktop platform where Linux/LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/PERL/Python and similar Open Source web platform stack) alternatives were a consideration or a prior deployment. Solution categories include: HPC, File & Print, Networking, Web server, messaging/e-mail solutions, Business Apps and others. The winning partner’s solution may have helped its customer better manage their business, reduce TCO, increase productivity, while securing an important market on the Microsoft platform.
“This is the second year in a row that we have been recognised in this way; we are very proud to be nominated as one Microsoft’s top partners worldwide. Our relationship with Microsoft continues to yield genuine business value for us,” said Orrin Klopper, MD of Netsurit.
“We have a diverse and talented partner ecosystem that each year raises the bar in the design and deployment of customer solutions built on Microsoft technologies,” says Allison Watson, corporate vice-president, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Group. “We are pleased to recognise Netsurit as one of our partners leading the field in this category.”
The Microsoft Partner Program Awards recognise Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year. Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners chosen from a pool of more than 1 800 entrants worldwide.
