APC-MGE has announced the appointment of Paolo Miglietta as regional channel manager for Africa. Miglietta reports to Carl Kleynhans, recently appointed as Regional Director: Africa for APC-MGE.
Miglietta was previously employed by American Power Conversion (APC) as representative for Inside Sales: East Africa and was an APC employee since 2002, as Inside Sales representative for Italy, Spain Portugal and France while based in Galway, Ireland and Reliability Partner Provider (RPP) responsible for APC’s Italian office. More recently, he also held the titles of Channel Account Manager for Southern Africa and Territory Manager for East Africa at APC.
According to Kleynhans, Miglietta’s previous working experience within multinational ICT companies, his high level of negotiation experience and problem solving abilities as well as his history in terms of the management of channel business and teams made him the ideal candidate for this position.

Miglietta’s responsibilities as regional channel manager for Africa will include driving, building and managing APC-MGE’s regional channel team to maximise sales through distribution and catalog partners, increasing share over top competitors and establishing channel control. He will also support local account managers in aligning channel's activities to accept new solutions that APC-MGE brings to market and ensure channel integration into the new APC-MGE organisation.
APC-MGE was formed in February 2007 when Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined its market leadership with that of MGE UPS SYSTEMS.
