VVM BPO has geared up to take advantage of business opportunities in the international call centre market. The company has new multimillion rand, high-security premises in Randburg and recently launched a fully redundant voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) network.
The business process outsourcing company, which has remote offices in Boksburg, Pretoria, Rivonia and Johannesburg, has set up inter-nodal links between these offices and invested in a 300 KVA generator to ensure its Telkom, Internet and data links are always up.
In addition, the company has committed itself to ensuring a sustainable industry development strategy and is working closely with local forums such as Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPeSA), the national coordinating body for the business process outsourcing and offshoring sector in South Africa; ContactinGauteng (CiG), the body coordinating industry development and initiatives and providing support to investors considering Gauteng as an outsourcing/offshoring destination; the Gauteng Economic Development Agency (Geda); and the Department of trade and Industry (DTI).
“Johannesburg has much to offer international business process outsourcing clients , and we aim to take advantage of the growing interest in South Africa as an outsourced BPO destination,” says Andrew Condon, commercial director at VVM BPO.
Condon notes that VVM BPO focuses on providing services to financial departments across all business sectors. “As we are located in Gauteng, the financial powerhouse of the country, it makes sense for VVM BPO to specialise in this arena.”
