JSE-listed IT solutions and services specialist Faritec has announced its strategic intent to significantly grow and develop the HP arm of its Systems and Technology business unit.

John Brannigan, Faritec Systems and Technology Business Unit Executive: HP, says the company is targeting large corporations across all market sectors and has already notched up successes in retail, healthcare and telecommunications.
“The plan is to develop the high-end business while simultaneously making the commodity end more efficient,” Brannigan says. “Faritec has made a substantial investment in obtaining the right levels of certification for both our staff and our data centre in line with HP’s highest standards. We will be using that expertise to add value at the top end of the server and storage space.”
Faritec will continue to service and support the commodity side of its HP offering with quicker response times and improved logistics, however, it is determined to uncover previously untapped opportunities within large corporations.
“We are confident of our ability to partner with clients at enterprise level, where we have the experience and expertise to contribute to architecture design and how it interacts with the storage area network, applications and databases. This is a complex, skills-intensive area where Faritec is ideally positioned to deliver solutions that provide measurable benefits,” Brannigan says.
According to Brannigan, Faritec has the knowledge, experience and products to implement sound infrastructures which enable its customers to build a solid business. These solutions are sufficiently robust to withstand today’s business challenges while remaining flexible enough to adapt to changing technologies and business models.
“We have chosen to work with HP in this area in order to provide all the resources and offerings necessary to build and maintain that end-to-end infrastructure. The extensive portfolio of products is based on a foundation of open standards, and we enhance the combination of products with services and skills.”
