Microsoft is the latest company to be hit with a product recall as reports roll in about the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel overheating and generating smoke when plugged in.
So far, about 230 000 of the realistic wheels that simulate racing car driving have been sold. But at least 50 reports have been made about the overheating problem.
Microsoft is sending replacement parts.
Users who are experiencing problems should register online and they will be sent the new parts and instructions on how to retrofit their game controllers.
Apparently there have been no reports of fire or injury as a result of the defect.
