MultiPath Customer Solutions, an award-winning contact centre provider with more than sixty years of call centre management experience, was recently awarded the contract to manage the Africa wide contact centre services for Gateway Broadcast Services (GTV).

The direct-to-home, satellite-based service will deliver the highest quality digital reception across the continent. GTV is delivered across Gateway Communications’ satellite infrastructure and an advanced and efficient delivery platform will substantially reduce the cost and ease of set-up for customers.
GTV is already available in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Botswana, Rwanda and Zambia and is currently proceeding with a phased roll-out across sub-Saharan Africa including Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
And MultiPath Customer Solutions is providing customer service to all GTV customers as they come on line in these countries – all at one central point, their contact centre in Randburg.
The challenge presented to MultiPath is the wide variety of languages, and to meet this need a team of trained MultiPath Customer Solutions consultants will handle all queries and questions in diverse tongues like Swahili, Kalanga, Shona, Oshiwambo, Nama, Rukwangali and Akan. Another challenge to providing service has been the need to successfully roll out a supporting VSAT network to a number of the countries.
GTV is a dynamic new Pan-African pay-TV service delivering choice, quality and innovation to a new breed of TV viewer. With a balanced and exciting choice of premium content, GTV is redefining pay-TV in Africa by offering it at a price point accessible to the mainstream. GTV is committed to supporting local content as well as offering major international programming ideal for the whole family.
The GTV service is provided by Gateway Broadcast Services (GBS), a subsidiary of Gateway Communications. Gateway Communications is the leading provider of communications services to telecoms operators and corporations in Africa.
According to Rhys Torrington, commercial director of Gateway: “Gateway Broadcast Services are pleased to award the contract for the Africa-wide call centre to MultiPath as they are without doubt leaders with their knowledge of call centre management and professional customer service”
Ray Payne, director of business Ddvelopment at MultiPath Customer Services, says: “MultiPath is pleased to be an integral part of an initiative that not only helps us to draw on our knowledge of Pay TV, but, also highlights our ability to deliver world class service to clients in varied sector operations.”
