Dell yesterday become the first Royalty OEM partner in the Microsoft global alliance to invest in Microsoft's non-OEM business elements in southern Africa.
The company also launched its Dell Professional Services business in support of its Microsoft solutions offering and its associated Microsoft licensing capabilities.
The announcements mark Dell's entrance into the local market as a complete value-added solutions provider for Microsoft, backed by a workdiwde reciprocal Enterprise Services agreement and commitment to service excellence.
Dell SA's MD Stewart van Graan comments: "This value-added partnership means that customers can now get all of the Microsoft licensing requirements fulfilled and administered by Dell SA as part of a complete solutions and service offering – from desktop to data centre.
"It takes the concept of single point accountability and strategic enterprise vendor partnering to a whole new level."
In addition, the news means people previously underserved by technology can now gain enhanced access and training opportunities through the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Program and the Dell Foundation.
