iBurst has beaten its own deadline and switched on its 200th base station three months ahead of schedule – just three weeks after the wireless broadband provider reached the 50 000 subscriber milestone.

“We switched on our 200th base station a full three months ahead of schedule which is pretty impressive if you consider that site approvals can take over a year,” says Thami Mtshali, CEO of iBurst.
The latest iBurst base station is located in Randburg and adds to existing iBurst wireless broadband infrastructure in the area.
“Randburg is going through a major regeneration process and iBurst is pleased to be able to join other companies in their quest to uplift the central business district in particular,” Mtshali says.
