Nashua has launched the SCX 6345 Series, a range of powerful monochrome multi-function laser printers (LMFPs) specifically designed for small to medium sized offices.

According to a recent research report, only 2,35% of total page volume is printed on A3 paper. And as the need for A3 documents declines, customers require a smarter, more cost efficient multifunction printer capable of handling increasingly heavy A4 printing demands.
The SCX 6345 boasts printing and copying speed of 43 A4 pages per minute, duplex built in and the highest paper capacity in its class of up to 2 180 sheets.
Andreas van der Horst, group product manager at Nashua, says: "The robust SCX 6345N (printer, copier, scanner, fax (optional) presents a powerful one-stop multifunctional printing solution for today’s demanding office needs."
In addition, A3 centric copiers occupy more office space, while an A4 device only needs the corner of a desk or room.
The SCX 6345N is easy to install and maintain. While A3 generally copiers take up to 3,5 hours to install, it only takes about 30 minutes to get the SCX 6345N ready to operate, using a simple, “slot in” design approach.
In addition, toner and drums are replaced from the front of the machine.
The need for in-depth training is minimised as the wide screen front panel screen offers an intuitive user interface, while the built-in network functionality ensures smooth operating assistance and minimal device monitoring and maintenance.
The modular design allows users to add functionality and capacity with various options, such as fax, to ensure the right configuration choice for their needs. With the optional fax kit installed, users enjoy functions such as speed dial up to 200 numbers, group dial up to 100 groups (maximum location per 1 group is 200) and because of the duplex function, received faxes can be printed double sided to reduce operating costs.
The SCX 6345N delivers convenience with its digital scanning solution, duplex printing/copying and finishing option for document collation and stapling. The optional digital scanning solution enables users to email and share scanned documents or images via office networks, hassle-free. Making this task even easier, is an up-to-date address book using an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server for centralised email address management.
The product range is equipped with integral software such as the optional SmarThru Workflow, an intelligent one-stop document sending solution. Furthermore, IT managers can easily manage a large scale of network multifunction and printers using SyncThru Web Admin Service, a web-based remote management tool for discovering network printers and monitoring status as well as configuration and setting changes.
The innovative automatic toner ordering system allows for easy and convenient ordering of supplies. Once the i-ATOS application is installed, instant alerts to your designated supplier can be made by e-mail or a direct link to their homepage for ordering consumables at the click of a button.
Buyers Laboratory, the leading independent office equipment test lab and business consumer advocate in the United States ranked the SCX 6345N on top over its competitors in five specific categories: Multitasking, Setup/Connectivity, Feedback to Workstation, Scan function, TCO, optimal versatility, convenient management and setup.
“Because businesses are moving towards scanning and printing original documents which can be scaled to fit the paper size available, this effectively means that a cost saving of between 100% and 220% depending on the manufacturer and a saving of 26% on a maintenance kit is achieved”, says Van der Horst.
