It may just be the time of the year, but only two patches will be issued by Microsoft on its first Patch Tuesday of 2008 tomorrow – one listed as "critical", the other as "important".
The critical security update is for a "remote code execution" flaw in Windows, particularly Windows XP and Vista. The second patch is aimed at all versions of Windows except for Vista.
Microsoft will also issue seven "non-security, high-priority" updates for Windows and other related products.
