Oracle will have its own Patch Tuesday next week when it issues 27 security fixes for various products in its first security update of the year on 15 January.

The company traditionally issues patches every three months in its Critical Patch Update and the number of fixes in its first update of the new year is considered pretty low when compared to the 51 patches issued in October, its last update.
On its website, Oracle says it will issue eight patches for Oracle Database for vulnerabilities in its advanced queueing, core RDBMS, Oracle Agent, Oracle Spatial and XML database software. There are seven patches for Oracle's E-Business Suite, six for Oracle Application Server, four for PeopleSoft and JD Edwards products, and one patch each for Enterprise Manager and the Oracle Collaboration Suite.
