MicroStrategy has been recognised by Retail Info Systems (RIS) News as one of the top software providers for retailers.

MicroStrategy was named by RIS to its 2007 Software LeaderBoard, highlighting the top 45 software vendors for retailers. The RIS Software LeaderBoard compares software companies serving the retail industry in a head-to-head ranking that is based largely on retailer evaluations. MicroStrategy ranked number 13 overall.
MicroStrategy also ranked number  7 on the Tier One list, which reflects the preferred software vendors of retailers with revenues greater than $1-billion. In a breakout of the three largest segments of retailers, MicroStrategy ranked in the top 10 in two of the three segments: specialty retailing and apparel/footwear.
MicroStrategy’s business intelligence software is used by retailers worldwide, including Starbucks, Metro Group, Lowe’s Companies, Hallmark Cards, Carrefour, Limited Brands, Hudson’s Bay, and Ross Stores. MicroStrategy’s scalable platform enables retailers to analyse vast amounts of data and provides detailed insights into business areas such as sales trends, inventory management, store operations, and customer loyalty.
“We are delighted that retailers have indicated their preference for MicroStrategy’s software in the RIS LeaderBoard,” says Sanju Bansal, MicroStrategy COO. “Many of the top global retailers are MicroStrategy customers.
