UltiSales enters Mauritian market with EMP Distribution
UltiSales Retail Software, part of the JSE listed UCS Group, South Africa's leading retail software company, has entered the Mauritian retail point of sale (POS) market with the appointment of a channel partner, EMP Distribution.
EMP Distribution is involved in the hospitality, wholesale and retail sectors, and according to UltiSales MD, Stephen Mallaby, “is an ideal candidate to take our brand into Mauritius, which is a steadily a growing retail market."
UltiSales, which has been established for over 20 years, has successfully been implemented in over 3500 outlets across South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Lesotho.
“Mauritius is a new drive for us, and while it is unlikely to be one of our biggest markets, it is a market that cannot be underrated. We are looking to install more than 30 sites during the course of 2011,” says Mallaby.
"The beauty about our software range is that it can be tailored for use across many retail verticals, and is scalable from single-store operations to large multi-branch operations."
Edward Sardes, in charge of marketing at EMP Distribution, says the UltiSales POS solution is well-suited to the Mauritian market.
