HP SA has announced two new management appointments. Graham Vorster has been named as the HP Networking country manager, while Rudie Raath has been appointed as technology consulting country manager.
Vorster has been in the ICT Sector since the late 1980s and brings a combination of executive management, enterprise management, channel, marketing, technology, strategy and sales management.
He was previously CEO of Alcatel-Lucent SA.
In the past Vorster has been involved in numerous large account engagements across the service provider and enterprise sectors, as well as various strategic channel engagements across a variety of ICT and industry verticals. He has also served as a C-Level executive at various multinational and local organisations.
“Graham will be working as an integral part of the HP Enterprise Business management and the Enterprise Servers and Storage team,” says Frank van Rees, MD and Enterprise Business Lead, HP South Africa.
Raath's appointment is in line with HP's plans to transform Technology Consulting this year, at a worldwide and EMEA level.
“We are making key investments and structural changes to better position us for growth and scale,” says Van Rees.
Raathjoined HP as a networking technical consultant in 2008 and then led the networking support service and consulting group, where he was involved in positioning HP as a networking infrastructure consulting leader.
“Rudie comes with a unique vision where his approach to consulting is customer centric but with a strong focus on business financial results supported by mature technologies,” Van Rees adds.
