Sipho Maseko, MD of Vodacom SA and chief operating office of the Vodacom Group, has resigned.
Yesterday evening, the cellular operator announced that Maseko has stepped down from the board of Vodaco Group and Vodacom (Pty) Ltd with immediate effect (14 June 2012).
Vodacom Group chairman Peter Moyo says: “Sipho has made a positive contribution to Vodacom during his time with the Group, providing valuable external perspective to our strategy discussions.
“On behalf of the entire group, I wish Sipho the best of luck for the future.”
Maseko joined Vodacom in September 2011. Prior to that he was CEO of BP Southern Africa from 2008.
