Abraham Thomas has replaced Oliver Fortuin as country GM of IBM South Africa.

Fortuin is leaving IBM to establish his own business.

Abraham has been with IBM for 25 years, during which time his career has spanned a variety of senior executive roles. These include MD of IBM India and IBM Global Services India, vice-president of General Business in ASEAN/South Asia, and director of financial services sector for IBM ASEAN/South Asia.

Most recently, he has been vice-president of systems and technology group, for IBM’s Growth Markets Unit, based in Shanghai.

Abraham holds a business administration degree from the National University of Singapore.
