The Software AG Public Sector Business Unit is undergoing expansion in order to meet their customers’ needs in this important sector. Software AG is a global leader in business process excellence and has gained significant ground in the South African government space at national, provincial and local levels.
Ephraim Murape has been appointed sales director, Public Sector, and will head up a team of experienced and successful professionals dedicated to offering solutions across all levels of the sector.

Murape is a seasoned executive with cross vertical experience in the formulation, execution and management of sales strategy in the IT industry. He has developed new markets and offerings in multinational organisations operating in diverse business environments and geographical locations.
Murape has in the past established himself as trusted advisor to regulatory bodies, customers, and business partners. His work has covered the public and utilities sectors across sub-Saharan Africa.

Afrika Tau fills a newly created post at Software AG as executive head: Provincial and Local Government. Tau started his career as in engineer and has worked for a number of companies, including SITA, Hansen and Cisco, where he held different roles in business development.
His decade of provincial and local government experience and knowledge makes him ideally suited to meet the challenges. His strengths include managing relationships and strategic planning at an advanced level.

Nomhle Mujakachi has been named partner manager – Public Sector, and has more than 10 years of IT industry experience with capability in both direct and indirect sales, business development, corporate marketing, channel marketing and relationship management.
Having worked for multiple IT multi-national corporations across Europe, Middle-East and Africa, Nomhle has contributed significantly in highly competitive software and hardware market segments across multiple geographies. Her current focus at Software AG is end-to-end channel management in the Public Sector space.
