Aspect Software, a leading provider of customer contact, enterprise workforce optimisation and Microsoft platform solutions, has announced the appointment of Stewart Bloom as CEO, effective immediately. Jim Foy will remain in the fulltime role of executive chairman of Aspect’s board of directors.
Bloom brings over 28 years of experience in enterprise software and professional services to Aspect, most recently as CEO of Escalate Retail (a Golden Gate Capital Company), prior to its acquisition by RedPrairie Corp.
From his work leading one of the largest multi-channel retail software and service providers in the industry, he has been immersed in the convergence of information and technology with a focus on delivering reinvented customer experiences.
“Aspect is an asset-rich organisation at a time when enterprise businesses are rethinking how they compete through differentiated customer experiences,” says Bloom.
“This is a pivotal time for the company to capitalise on its technologies, strategic investments and industry relationships in order to successfully prepare and position ourselves for sustained market growth and investor returns in the years ahead.”
Prior to Escalate, Bloom was CEO for GERS Retail Systems, VP, Americas Technology Services for Capgemini, and senior VP for strategy consultancy at Mainspring, prior to its IPO and subsequent acquisition by IBM.
He was formerly a partner with Ernst & Young Management Consulting and a leader of its Centre for Technology Enablement, following E&Y’s acquisition of DSSI, a pioneer in enterprise collaboration and knowledge management, where he was co-founder.
Foy’s 10-year tenure as CEO was distinguished by many important milestones for Aspect. He led the company to a global strategic alliance with Microsoft, and oversaw several strategic acquisitions.
