NEC Display Solutions Europe has a new flagship for its popular V Series range of large format displays in the MultiSync V801, a fully-featured 80-inch display that offers both outstanding performance and good value for money.

Despite its size, the V801 is designed to be easy to set up and is ideal for installations where sheer presence is required. The massive screen with Full HD resolution delivers a bright and vivid picture while the Edge LED backlight provides a slim design for elegant architectural integration.

Combined with a programmable Ambient Light Sensor, very low power consumption and eye-pleasing brightness levels are guaranteed.

“When making an impression counts, the V801 definitely provides the right canvas size to deliver the message to core audiences. The portrait display installation with more than 1,77m active display height and the capability to present content in life-size offer a whole new range of applications from retail stores, classrooms, conferencing rooms to even hospitals,” says Tobias Augustin, product manager Public Displays at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“Standard-sized displays are just ‘windows’ showing content, whereas the V801 is like a door to new possibilities. Customers will now feel as if they are part of the content. The combination of a high-quality, low-reflection panel and components, rich connectivity options and full management features, provides users with the comprehensive package required to effectively communicate to their audience.”

As with the other members of the V Series range, the V801 supports NEC’s latest option slot technology, which allows for the integration of single board computers and other option slot products based on the current NEC OPS standard. The display’s sophisticated heat management ensures the longest possible backlight lifetime and offers more installation flexibility than any other competitor.

By using its customizable protection features, the V801 can automatically send an email to a specified address in case a problem is detected without additional hardware. In addition, a comprehensive list of maintenance actions can be scheduled and managed remotely via a network using NEC’s NaViSet Administrator 2 software.

The V801 connects to DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, Composite, Component and S-video, enabling connectivity to a wide range of sources, while integrated speakers save installation cost and preserve the clean look of the display. The TileMatrix functionality offers the implementation of videowalls up to 10×10 for truly gigantic installations.
