Logicalis Group, the international IT solutions and managed services provider, has announced that the company’s chief executive officer (CEO), Ian Cook, will retire as CEO at the end of the financial year.
A comprehensive search process to identify the next CEO is underway and a leading global executive recruiting firm has been retained to assist in the process. Ian will assume the role of chairman of Logicalis Group, taking over from current Chairman Jens Montanana. Ian will continue to focus on his executive duties during the transition period to ensure a smooth handover.

Under Ian’s leadership since March 2007, Logicalis has become an international business and a respected partner of the major technology vendors and has more than doubled its revenues to over £1-billion ($1,5-billion).

“Ian has done an outstanding job in leading the organisation and has transformed the business model, creating a significant international brand providing similar solutions and services in over 20 countries,” says Jens Montanana, Datatec CEO.

“The company and its stakeholders are grateful for his considerable contribution to the organisation and we welcome Ian’s continued involvement as Chairman of Logicalis and are confident that it is well positioned for continued success.”

Cook joined Logicalis in 2003, initially as CEO European Operations, before his appointment as Group CEO in early 2007. Prior to that, he worked at Siemens Network Systems for 10 years, where he held the position of Group MD of European Operations.
