Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has announced the availability of the 10-inch Huawei MediaPad 10 Link HD quad-core tablet in South Africa.
Running on Android 4.1, the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link provides an unsurpassed entertainment experience with its visual and audio features, power capabilities and stylish design.

“Most consumers use tablets for entertainment purposes such as gaming, viewing multimedia content, browsing the internet and reading e-books,” says Larking Huang, country director, Huawei Device South Africa.
“We have created the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link to be extraordinary – to excel in all of the entertainment capabilities including speed, power, Web browsing, high definition display and audio, and packaging it all in a sleek and compact body.”

The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link quad-core tablet has a 10,1-inch 1 280 x 800 high definition IPS full-view-angle display screen, providing optimal screen viewing for gaming and high definition video.

It features a three-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera and memory storage of 1G RAM, making it easy to record and store high-definition photos and videos.

With its Digital Dolby Plus surround sound technology, the Huawei MediaPad 10 Link provides theatre-quality audio effects – even with regular headphones. Its dual speaker design provides superior audio performance across gaming, music and video playing.

It is powered by a K3v2 Cortex-A9 1.2GHz quad-core processor and a 16-core GPU. The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link’s 6600mAh battery provides more than 10 hours of continuous usage.

The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link’s sleek aluminium-alloy body measures 9.9mm thin and weighs only 640g, making it convenient to use and carry. The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link will be available in two versions, featuring an 8Gb and 16Gb with pouch option. Both are 3G WiFi enabled.

This is the fourth generation tablet from Huawei following the S7 Slim, the Media Pad 7 and MediaPad 7 Lite. The Huawei MediaPad 10 Link version is now available in South Africa from Cell C and Telkom Mobile, at a recommended retail price of R3000 to R4000.
