ICT resellers are urged to use the power of their vote in the 2014 Channelwise Awards to ensure they get the best possible products and services from their vendors and distributors. Online voting for SME and Consumer resellers in the 2014 Channelwise Awards is now open.
The results of the votes will culminate in November’s annual Channelwise Awards event, where resellers’ favourite vendors and distributors will be named.
The Channelwise Awards give resellers an opportunity to name the suppliers they prefer to work with, says Kathy Gibson, publisher at Channelwise Awards organiser Future Wave Media.
“However, the value of the voting goes beyond simply naming their favourite vendors and distributors,” she says. “Importantly, resellers are asked to rate the service they receive from their suppliers as well. This information can help vendors and distributors gauge how well they are doing in various areas, and take remedial action where necessary.
“It’s a great way for resellers to tell their suppliers what they really think about them – and what they’d like them to do in future.”
The Channelwise Awards survey has been streamlined and updated to take into account changing technology and business models this year.
Resellers will be asked select the category\ies they work in: components; end-user computing; servers, storage and networking; and printers, peripherals and consumables. They will be asked to choose their favourite vendors in a
number of sub-categories, and rank them according to: cost; reliability; warranty/service; and channel programme.
They will also be asked to name their top distributors in each category, and rank them on: ease of doing business; stockholding, logistics and delivery; credit availability; and channel programme.
