Cyberoam is expanding in the region and has appointed Dimension Data Polokwane as its Platinum Partner for South Africa.

The South African security market has been poised to grow at a projected annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7,6% over the next five years. Similar to most other regions in the world, businesses in South Africa have also begun to prioritise IT security budgets to secure their headquarters, data centres and distributed branch networks.

Businesses of all sizes including SMBs and enterprises are becoming security aware as network security is now directly related to growth and compliance regulations. In addition to this increased acceptance of newer technologies like cloud and virtualisation along with rising interest in open networks and BYOD is supporting the growing demand for enterprise network/IT security.

Cyberoam along with Dimension Data expects to capitalise on this revved-up demand. Dimension Data is an ICT services and solutions provider that uses its technology expertise, global service delivery capability, and entrepreneurial spirit to accelerate the business ambitions of its clients. They are a Leader for the fourth consecutive year in the 2014 edition, Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Communications Outsourcing and Professional Services.
Their sustained positioning in the Leaders quadrant shows the continued trust clients have on their services.

Commenting on the collaboration with Dimension Data Polokwane, Adrian Anema, country manager – South Africa, Cyberoam said, “South African market has been one of the regions of major focus for Cyberoam. In the past Cyberoam has also appointed local channel manager and presales manager for dedicated focus on expansion in the region.

“Cyberoam also has centrally located offices which are geared to intensify the company’s focus on operational excellence while positioning it as a company that offers strong security while meeting business needs like none.

“With the growing emphasis businesses have towards imbibing newer technologies, security often becomes a bottleneck. The need for future ready solution exists that would evolve along with the technologies and threat landscape,” says Anema.

“Dimension Data has local presence in more than 50 countries across 5 continents, ensuring a wide reach. Having local experience, they possess a stable yet agile technology estate – one that sets businesses to embrace business change with confidence, hence with this collaboration we hope to empower South African enterprises, helping them achieve transformation and derive true value for network security investments.”

Theo Van Der Wath – regional sales manager – Limpopo, Dimension Data, says: “There is remarkable shift in IT strategies of companies; earlier IT security was an afterthought, now it is at its core. We are an organisation who enables our clients to respond to today’s challenges, with targeted, pertinent services and IT solutions.

“Hence, for us it is a huge opportunity and with Cyberoam we will be best placed to offer advance ICT solutions with next-generation and proven enterprise security offerings. Cyberoam’s proven post-sales support should further improve our odds against the competition, and we see the alliance as a vital part of our efforts towards ensuring full customer satisfaction.”
