Intervate, a T-Systems company, has been named the winner of the 2015 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for South Africa. In addition, the company has also been recognised as a finalist for the 2015 Microsoft Public Sector: CityNext Partner of the Year Award.

The Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year Awards honour Microsoft Partners across the globe for demonstrating excellence in innovation and the implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology. Winners were chosen from a set of more than 2 300 entrants from 108 different countries.

Says Collin Govender, vice-president Systems Integration at T-Systems in South Africa, “We are exceptionally proud of Intervate for their achievements. Since our acquisition of the company, they have proven that their passion for the customer and understanding of the market, coupled with our international reach and experience, are an ideal match. Being recognised as the Country Partner of the Year for South Africa, and as a finalist for the 2015 Microsoft Public Sector: CityNext Partner of the Year Award demonstrates their ability to innovate and deliver solutions that help customers transform their business.”

The Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Awards honour partners at a country level that have demonstrated business excellence in delivering Microsoft solutions to customers over the past year. This award recognises Intervate as the South African Microsoft partner that has developed solutions showcasing innovation and business impact, by providing outstanding value for customers.

The Microsoft CityNext Partner of the Year Award recognises partners who can showcase how their solutions, built on or with Microsoft technology, can address the most pressing challenges for cities. As a finalist in this category, Intervate has been recognised for the transformative impact of the innovative Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) Find and Fix app. This app empowers citizens to report potholes and other road issues, and helps the JRA to expedite the resolution process, improving service delivery.

“Intervate is a worthy winner of this award, because the company is consistently offering innovative and locally relevant solutions for our customers such as the JRA Find&Fix application for instance,” says Zoaib Hoosen, MD of Microsoft SA.

The awards will be handed over at the Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando, Florida on 15 July 2015.

“Congratulations to Intervate on this incredible achievement,” adds Hoosen.
