Trend Micro Incorporated has recently announced that Trend Micro Deep Security is now certified as a VCE Validation Ready solution through the VCE Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program. The TAP program is designed for independent software vendors, hardware manufacturers, virtual appliance vendors and other technology providers seeking to simplify and accelerate their solutions for deployment with VCE Vblock Systems.

“We are excited to strengthen our partnership with VCE through the VCE Validation Ready program as we continue our history of providing best-of-breed protection from Deep Security, a comprehensive security platform, to protect the leading converged and hyper-converged systems in the world,” said Partha Panda, vice president, global channels and strategic alliances, Trend Micro. “With Deep Security, VCE Vblock System customers can focus on their business rather than worrying about their IT Infrastructure, with the peace of mind that they are protected by the market leader in server security.”[i]

VCE Vblock Systems provide rapid deployments and dramatically lower IT costs by offering pre-integrated, pre-tested and pre-validated IT infrastructures that combine best-in-class compute, network, storage, data protection and virtualisation technologies from Cisco, EMC and VMware, delivered as a single product with unified support. The VCE Validation Ready certification validates Deep Security to work optimally for all the key use cases and reassures customers that the converged solution provides key compliance capabilities that can assist with HIPAA, PCI, and other compliance frameworks.

Building on a history of being the first certified Vblock Ready content security solution in 2012, Deep Security provides market-leading security for physical, virtual and cloud servers from a single comprehensive platform, featuring centralised administration and reporting capabilities. This tightly integrated security solution includes both system and network security controls to address the protection of virtual workloads. Leveraging the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network, Deep Security helps to defend against vulnerabilities such as Shellshock and Heartbleed, ensuring that organisations can focus on running their business instead of constantly dealing with emergency patching for new vulnerabilities.

Optimised for virtual and cloud environments, Deep Security enables customers to scale securely without compromising on performance and agility. The platform can also help customers meet compliance and audit requirements, as outlined in a recently published whitepaper by independent auditor CoalFire. Through years of joint innovation with industry-leading organisations, Deep Security has developed comprehensive security that supports and fully integrates with key virtualisation offerings, including VMware vSphere, NSX, and Horizon, Citrix XenDesktop, and key enterprise applications such as SAP and Oracle.

“We are pleased to welcome Trend Micro into the VCE Validation Ready program,” said DJ Long, senior director, Technology Alliances and Business Development, VCE. “As a VCE Validation Ready solution, Trend Micro Deep Security can be integrated with Vblock Systems, delivering transformative data centre solutions and key compliance capabilities for mutual customers that enable the agility, simplicity and economics of converged infrastructure with Trend Micro’s expertise in cloud, data centre and virtualisation security.”

VCE works with Superna to conduct and administer the VCE Validation Ready and Vblock Ready certifications for the VCE TAP program members. These certifications enable mutual channel partners and customers to accelerate adoption of Vblock Systems while leveraging Deep Security to protect their workloads. Furthermore, joint partners, customers and prospects can test their own configurations and applications, protected by Deep Security, using a remote POC that leverages the remotely accessible VCE Validation Ready test bed at Superna.
