Health Systems Technologies (HST), a subsidiary of African Equity Empowerment Investments Limited (AEEI), has secured a contract with the Tanzanian Ministry of Health to implement Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
HST, a leading provider of integrated healthcare solutions in South Africa, will roll out its LIMS services to multiple laboratories in Tanzania with a view to rolling out further opportunities throughout Tanzania.

Due to our successful implementation of Hospital Information Systems and National Health Laboratory systems within South Africa, we are excited to start building our African footprint.”
The contracts were obtained in partnership with Maxcom Africa, a technology company based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which will work with HST to implement the systems.

The contract will advance the delivery of laboratory systems in Tanzania, assisting them with migrating away from current time-consuming paper-based environments. This new system will allow them to provide a more effective turnaround time and efficient service to improve healthcare in the communities they serve.
Abdulla believes this much-needed solution is a stepping-stone toward growing countrywide multi-laboratory implementations with the Ministry of Tanzania and its HST partners.
