The SA Communications Forum (SACF) has announced that nominations for the country’s ICT Achievers Awards are now open.
“Anyone can nominate worthy ICT personalities who have spearheaded innovative and transformational initiatives in the pivotal ICT sector,” says SACF chairperson Lucky Masilela.

Nominations can be submitted by visiting the downloads area of www.SAComForum.org.za and describing why an individual or entity involved in the ICT and broadcast industry – or a member of the general public – deserves to be nominated for an award within the following categories:
* Entrepreneurship and SMME;
* Community development;
* Local content production;
* Innovation;
* Future leader;
* Women in ICT;
* Honorary lifetime achievers award; and
* Innovation for Africa award.

Submitted nominations will have to explain the nominee’s contribution, benefit and positive impact on society; challenges faced and how these challenges were overcome in order for the nominee to be recognised as a leader in the sector and, finally, the nominee’s length of service in the ICT sector and other important projects which the nominee has contributed towards in order to advance the sector.

“The organisers of the ICT Achievers Awards are looking forward to receiving a good number of high quality nominations based on the excellent calibre of individuals currently achieving in the ICT and Broadcast sectors,” says Masilela.

Nominations are not limited to members of the SACF and are open to all members of the South African ICT industry.
