EMC Southern Africa has appointed Charlene George as consulting sales director of its Global Services Division.
Formerly Regional Sales Manager: Africa for Oracle Financial Services Consulting, George has 17 years’ experience in the financial services and IT industries.
Charlene holds an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK, and her strengths lie in the areas of relationship management, consulting, sales and strategy. This has served her well in client manager and business development roles at organisations such as Cisco Systems, IBM and Standard Bank.
In her new role, Charlene will be responsible for developing client relationships throughout Southern Africa. EMC Global Services provides business-driven IT professional services including integrating Microsoft, Open Stack, VMware and related technologies.
“My focus is on providing strategic guidance and project leadership to federal customers addressing their goals of transformation, consolidation and efficiency,” Charlene says. “By delivering a differentiated service experience, we will help customers meet their business goals, transforming their IT environment to capitalise on critical trends such as cloud computing and Big Data.”
