Jonas Bogoshi has been appointed as EMC’s country manager for southern Africa. 

Bogoshi, who has been in the ICT industry for 22 years, joins the company from T-Systems International where he was the vice-president: sales. His career includes CEO of Gijima and executive roles for both multinationals and South African organisations in the private and public sector.

is career has included working for a service provider, a customer in the ICT industry, a local and multinational systems integrator, and original equipment mManufacturers (OEMs).

“Having been on both sides of the industry, I appreciate the IT challenges companies are facing,” Bogoshi says.

“Digital transformation represents the single biggest challenge facing organisations today. The world over, organisations are investing in technologies, systems, processes and new business models to enable them to compete better and innovate more quickly.

“I believe that the EMC Federation is uniquely positioned to help organisations transform effectively in this increasingly digital economy.”

Commenting on some of his strategic objectives as country manager of EMC Southern Africa, Bogoshi says: “One of our focus areas will be to position and demonstrate EMC as a catalyst for digital transformation. This journey for customers will require a strong ecosystem between us and our partners to make it real. Furthermore, I believe that as a global corporation, EMC’s impact on South Africa should go beyond just commerce but also to assist in the creation of a sustainable economy and an inclusive society.”

Bogoshi holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town.
