VIDI has named the first set of finalists in its competition to win a R5-million Ferrari 458 Spider.

South Africa’s first video-on-demand (VOD) streaming service, overseen by independent auditors Kaplan & Kaplan, will draw one daily winner for the duration of the 133 day competition. They will be announced weekly.

All of the 133 daily winners will be in line to win the Ferrari at the end of the campaign. The VIDI Ferrari 458 Spider competition runs from 10 September 2015 to 17 January 2016.

“VIDI congratulates the very first finalists in the video streaming market’s most impressive birthday competition,” says Janene Matsukis of VIDI. They are as follows: Maria Bennita Paola, Mohamed Rizwaan Bata, Thabang Kenneth Liphoko, Glodean Kenny, Garren Keith Davidse, Kristina van Heerden, Sagaren Ganasen, Walter Luigi Trevisan, Gerard Russell Daniels, Ricardo Correira and Alfred Sibusiso Cedi, Mohamed Munier Badat, Jennifer Porter, Delia Naude, Delmondt Godfrey Cookson, Kovilan Reddy and Faizal Moosa Moolla. These finalists are the competition’s daily winners thus far.

To celebrate its one-year anniversary, VIDI recently announced that it is offering anyone who registers on its website and enters the competition using their mobile handsets the chance to win a 2015 Ferrari 458 Spider worth over R5-million rand.

“It’s not surprising that people think that a one-year old company giving away a vehicle that costs more than most homes must be a hoax. However, we’re offering what local VOD viewers want and we’d like to share our success,” says Matsukis.
