The Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA), the organisation tasked with encouraging compliance with road traffic laws in South Africa, has implemented Safe Evolution to automate business processes, ensure compliance with Treasury regulations, and integrate its business processes.
OS Holdings, a Sage Super Platinum Business Partner owned by Nomsa Nteleko, led the implementation.
The move to Sage Evolution has enabled the agency to replace a range of manual business processes and disparate systems with an integrated solution spanning basic financials, budgeting, planning, reporting, and advanced procurement.
Palesa Moalusi, CFO at RTIA, says that the agency needed a strong solution that embraced accounting and procurement so that it could streamline the process of complying with National Treasury’s supply chain management regulations. The Advanced Procurement Model in Sage Evolution automates the necessary calculations, when doing them in the past was a time-consuming manual process.
The Sage Evolution reporting module has also brought major benefit to the RITA, says finance executive, Amogelang Matebese. “Sage Evolution has really improved our business by taking away a lot of the manual interventions of the past,” she adds. “We are using Sage Evolution’s add-on modules for advanced procurement, asset management and contact management. The integration of these modules means we have a real edge in financial reporting and access to the information we need to make quick decisions.”
Moalusi adds: “As a state entity, we need robust financial reporting and procurement functionality to comply with Treasury demands. Our move to Sage evolution has changed our lives. We have become a more efficient business and we’re looking forward to getting even better, and achieving better and better results from our audits in the years to come.”
“Public agencies, municipalities and government departments need to meet tough compliance requirements,” says Daryl Blundell, GM of Sage Pastel Accounting. “We have created a platform from agencies such as RTIA that delivers both rich operational functionality and statutory compliance. It enables them to focus on service delivery, knowing that the back-office basics are under control.”
He adds: “The professionalism of Nomsa Nteleko and her young, dynamic company helped RTIA to complete the implementation of the Evolution ERP system on time and within budget.”
