Samsung named as one of SA’s top employers

Samsung Electronics South Africa has been officially certified by the Top Employers Institute for the company’s exceptional employee conditions.
A total of 77 companies received the Top Employers South Africa certification, following research by the Top Employers Institute that recognises leading employers around the world. This prestigious certification is rewarded to organisations that provide outstanding work environments, nurture talent throughout all levels of its operation and strive to continuously optimise occupational applications.

With these pillars, we work hard to optimise our employment practices and further develop employees to become the leaders of tomorrow,” says Michelle Potgieter, director of corporate marketing and communications at Samsung Electronics SA.
The first step in the certification programme is the HR Best Practices Survey, a comprehensive analysis of the company’s Human Resources environment. The Top Employers Institute, which globally certifies distinction in the conditions that employers build for their people, has declared the results of this year’s research, pertaining to noteworthy employers on the African continent. Samsung Electronics is one of the organisations to achieve the Top Employers South Africa 2016 certification and is delighted to be officially recognised as a leading employer.
“An optimal employee surrounding assists people in advancing themselves personally and professionally and the comprehensive research concluded that Samsung provides an outstanding employment environment, which offers a wide range of creative initiatives – truly aligned with the culture of the company,” says Samantha Crous, regional director of Africa & Benelux for the Top Employers Institute. “Crucial to the Top Employers Certification Programme is the completion of a stringent research process, where participating companies must meet the required standard in order to achieve the certification.”
