Cape Town-based South African software development firm, Khanyisa Real Systems (KRS), has announced a partnership with Indian enterprise mobility company Winjit Technologies.
Through this new partnership, KRS immediately increases its mobile solution capabilities and capacity. Winjit has delivered more than 4 000 innovative and customisable apps to organisations worldwide, so it brings extensive experience to the South African market. The partnership agreement offers local and international expertise, operability and designer creativity, all at affordable rates.
Lorraine Steyn, simplifier-in-chief of KRS, says: “We are delighted to partner with Ashwin and his team at Winjit.  After a long search to locate an organisation that can offer leading design and technology coupled with fast turnarounds and personalised and responsive relationships, we believe we have found the right partner that can amply satisfy the flourishing African digital ecosystem.”
“This agreement is designed to feed the growing need across the continent to go mobile with services, marketing and communications to a diverse array of geographically spread customers and audiences.”
KRS will handle the business requirements as well as the quality of the software delivered by the partnership, providing a direct and local interface between all parties concerned, and will have a dedicated team from the development house in India.
For Winjit, the partnership opens access to KRS’s significant experience in developing Web APIs and large database systems, as it has the knowledge and understanding of what is required on the continent to develop and deliver the right apps to optimally cater to their audiences, whether on iOS, Android, or Windows Phone.
“Winjit is extremely proud and privileged to be associated with KRS,” says Ashwin Kandoi, co-founder of Winjit Technologies. “We have been operating and working with ISV and customers in South Africa for the last seven years, but this new relationship is extremely important for us.
“Through this partnership, we believe we will be able to collaborate and bring the best of both worlds – a young and talented team from India and the experience of KRS – to a region that is growing in leaps and bounds and that can truly benefit from access to leading mobile technology and software development.”
