Adobe again in Magic Quadrant for Web conferencing

In a new report released by Gartner in December 2015, Adobe has once again been named a leader in Web Conferencing software.
Adobe has proven itself against the criteria with which Gartner assesses positioning in the Magic Quadrant, namely its ability to execute, as well as the completeness of its vision. The criteria encompass factors such as the products capabilities, comparative pricing and customer experience, as well as how far the product goes in terms of meeting the customer’s requirements for usage and purchase.
Jeremy Matthews MD of local Adobe distributor Dax Data, says: “It’s great that Adobe has been recognised in this study again, vindicating our commitment to their technology. With an economy in flux South African organisations are finding it increasingly necessary to do business more efficiently. Adobe Connect is a business enabler helping to reduce costs and facilitate cost effective communication and training.”
He adds that Adobe’s positioning as a leader can be attributed, in part, to three of Connect’s key strengths:
* Flexible and extensive web conferencing features – Users are able to set up small meetings with little customisation right through to interactive training experiences for 1000’s of attendees, in real time or for reference at a later time.
* Ability to meet the diverse needs of many industries – including complex Government requirements.
* Vast and easy to use customisation capabilities and scalability.
Gartner says that, in order to be considered a leader in the field, vendors must have “achieved significant market share relative to their competitors, while demonstrating an ability to respond to customers’ needs. Leaders have robust, scalable products with a wide range of features, a large installed base, acceptable financial performance and good distribution. Leaders are doing well today and are prepared for the future.”
