White Rabbit Gaming has come to an agreement with ASUS as its new major sponsor.
White Rabbit Gaming and ASUS have been on a journey together for the past few months and are ready to throw our collective weight behind making South African e-Sports even more entertaining, professional and competitive.
“Any MGO dreams of being backed by major sponsors and it doesn’t get any bigger than with ASUS. This sponsorship will allow White Rabbit Gaming to grow their business, teams and the industry as a whole. For White Rabbit Gaming it’s a major step in the right direction of where we want to be as a growing MGO. The sponsorship from ASUS shows their commitment to the industry and making e-Sports even bigger than it was before in the country. We have some great plans scheduled not only for 2016, but also beyond and would like to extend the right hand of fellowship to the guys at ASUS (specifically Frances Lombard and Reuben Naude) for their role in this process,” says Alwyn “SwiTch” Venter, owner and MD of White Rabbit Gaming.
When asked about the sponsorship of White Rabbit Gaming and their vision for e-Sports in 2016 and beyond, Frances Lombard, country product manager at ASUS, comments: “This year is our 10 year anniversary of the Republic of Gamers brand, the iconic “ROG eye” gamers love and trust, so our commitment to gaming has always been a key pillar of our success as a brand. We are very excited about localising our passion with White Rabbit Gaming. E-Sports in South Africa, we believe, is on a tipping point with increasing competitor platforms as seen from Telkom, Orena and the addition of a Cape Town leg to rAge. With White Rabbit Gaming our success will go beyond the podiums, our goal is to evolve with gaming by including gamers at every level and promote the ever changing landscape of E-sports.”
Reuben Naude, marketing specialist for ASUS, adds: “Many MGO’s approach us at ASUS and it is very difficult not to be able to say yes to every team no matter how much we want to support everyone in the community. White Rabbit Gaming managed to tick all the boxes as a Gaming Organisation and share in our vision to grow E-sports and add value to the Republic Of Gamers community as a whole. As the number one gaming brand globally as well as the number one motherboard manufacturer, it is a key priority for ASUS to support and grow gaming in South Africa to a level that can take on international engagements and see our gamers victorious. We are very excited about collaborating with WRG and to see what we can achieve with our joint efforts.”
With premier teams for CS:GO, Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone, 2016 is looking to be White Rabbit Gaming’s best year yet. The MGO has finalised its line-up for all its premier teams and will be announced within the next week.
