Bytes Document Solutions, the authorised Xerox distributor in 26 sub-Saharan countries, has strengthened the reach of the Xerox brand by appointing Solid Visions Technologies as a new Xerox distributor in Zimbabwe.
Olivier Merven, ‎Africa operations regional manager at BDS, says it constantly seeks opportunities to expand its reach by adding qualified, capable and committed partners. “With Solid Visions coming on board, Xerox’s Zimbabwean resellers now have access to great technology backed by proven distribution expertise and support,” he notes.
Tendai Chingondo, business development manager at Solid Visions Technologies, says the organisation is excited to add the Xerox range to its solutions portfolio. “We’ve always believed in the Xerox brand and the agreement with BDS now means we can take its Office Product Business solutions to market through our network of approved resellers.”
Chingondo foresees strong demand for Xerox multifunctional solutions particularly in the corporate and  schools verticals. “We’ll be targeting the market with aggressive pricing with a distribution strategy which reaches the entire country.”
Key factors for success, continues Chingondo, include strong technical expertise and a dedicated sales team with a focus on continuous training for internal staff and reseller partners. “With Xerox, we have a quality brand which is well-recognised, devices which deliver the dependability, features and specifications to win competitive deals, and, thanks to BDS, proven support from the end user customer, all the way through to the vendor.”
It is Solid Visions’ goal to make Xerox the preferred brand in the corporate environment within the next 24 months.
Merven says the investment and commitment shown by Solid Visions to secure distributorship in Zimbabwe bodes well for the success of Xerox in the local market. “Combined with a world-beating product portfolio, this company has a potent value proposition to grow its business by delivering the print and document solutions required by today’s demanding customers,” he concludes.
