Going on the offensive to attract more high-end users, Cell C is launching a new suite of aggressive contracts offering better value to customers who typically consume large quantities of voice and data. The company has also revised its Contract Buy-Out proposition.
“The Pinnacle suite of products offers an all-inclusive voice, data and SMS proposition at exceptional rates, giving high-usage customers the best value available in the market,” says Cell C CEO, Jose Dos Santos.
Customers that select one of the Pinnacle products will benefit from exceptional discounts on data and SMS, with an out of bundle rate of 15c per MB and 15c per SMS, providing effective discounts of 85% and 70% respectively. Customers also have the guarantee that prices will not increase during the duration of their contracts.
Alongside the launch of Pinnacle and based on feedback from potential customers, Cell C is also launching a revised Contract Buy-Out proposition.
“Many prospective customers have been complaining about the excessive fees charged by some of our competitors to terminate their contracts in order to join Cell C. That’s why we have doubled the contract buy-out offer to up to R20 000 and removed the requirement for customers to hand in their old device,” says Dos Santos.
To add further value, Pinnacle customers can also bolt on Cell C’s Wi-Fi Calling bundle at R199 per month providing unlimited on-net calls and 500 minutes to any other network locally. In addition, customers provisioned for Wi-Fi Calling can significantly reduce roaming costs abroad as customers simply make calls using a Wi-Fi network and are charged Cell C’s local rates. Best yet, customers do not pay a cent for incoming calls when on a Wi-Fi network.

On the Pinnacle plans, customers have the option to sign a month-to-month contract or if they want one of the latest devices, choose a 24-month contract where the contract Buy-Out value applies.
The value of the Buy-Out offer is dependent on the new Cell C package the customer signs up for, as well as, the settlement amount outstanding in order to cancel the contract at the other network provider.
The Pinnacle products can be activated at any participating Cell C outlet from this week.
