Seventy2 Telecommunications, incorporating GloCell Retail as a licensed brand, has been appointed as a new service agent for Cell C, and will service the customers being transferred from Altech Autopage, following approval and transfer of these customers by Altech.

The news follows the approval by the Competition Tribunal last week for the sale of Altech Autopage’s Cell C subscriber base to Cell C, its MTN subscriber base to MTN and its Vodacom subscriber base to Vodacom, respectively.

The GloCell Group, established in 2001, supplies network products and services to thousands of channel partners, including major Retailers, Banks, Petroleum companies, Independent Dealers, Wholesalers and Field Agents. GloCell is also expected to take over and rebrand many of Autopage’s stores nationally from March 2016.

“Cell C is pleased to extend its relationship with GloCell. We know the customers migrating from Altech Autopage will be well looked after by GloCell based on its good track record of service excellence,” says Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.

“We’re excited at the opportunity and look forward to providing an enhanced service to Cell C’s valued subscribers which derived from Altech Autopage,” says GloCell CEO Alessandro Mariola.

“Through our national footprint of shops, our valued customers will have easy access to such locations. In addition, GloCell’s agents will be able to meet customers directly and offer one on one personalised interactions. We will be here to serve you.”

Mariola says he is confident that customers will receive a top-notch service as part of the service level agreement that is in place with Cell C.
