Bytes Document Solutions (BDS) has won four major awards at the recent Xerox Middle East & Africa (MEA) Year Start Conference, which took place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The company, which services 26 sub-Saharan African countries, scooped up the following awards for exceptional performance in 2015:
* Gold Service Accreditation;
* Managed Print Services (MPS) Partner of the Year;
* Africa and Mediterranean Partner of the Year; and
* Overall Xerox Middle East & Africa Partner of the Year Award.
This prestigious event is held annually to focus on Xerox’s Europe, the Middle East and Africa growth strategy and regional performance, and to celebrate successes and growth in channel partner networks. A total of 150 Xerox staff members and partners representing 89 countries from across the Middle East, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe attended the event.
“Bytes Document Solutions has once again demonstrated exceptional performance in the MEA region and I am extremely proud of our team and honoured to lead such a committed and skilled group of people,” says Johan Basson, CEO of BDS. “In line with the demands required of a great business partner, BDS remains aligned with and committed to Xerox. I am delighted that Xerox has recognised the superior job that our team does.”
“I would like to thank my management team, all our staff and business partners and assure them that there is no greater testament to performance than winning the Xerox Middle East & Africa Partner of the Year Award,” notes Basson. “The triumph highlights the fact that BDS is among the top Xerox partners in the world” and the best in the MEA region.”
Both the MEA Partner of the Year Award and the Africa and Mediterranean Partner of the Year Award are given to partners who best exemplify, among other criteria: revenue growth, account management, balanced operational performance, robust business plans and brand representation and stewardship. Market coverage, business model evolution, and value proposition are also evaluated.
BDS’s win included the following additional key factors:
* Growth in a challenging macro environment in which the currency devalued by almost 35% during the year;
* Delivery of target for supplies and parts, and achievement of individually set targets;
* Several notable production systems group (PSG) wins;
* More than six sizeable office tender wins; and
* Best account transformation from office automation to managed print services.
Added to this achievement is Xerox’s positioning in Gartner’s Leaders Quadrant of the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print for the eighth consecutive year, giving Xerox a lead in the MPS market and marking BDS’s contribution to this accolade.
“Against the backdrop of tough global and regional economic developments, the awards highlight the critical importance of a strong, dedicated, loyal and professional team such as ours,” says Basson. “I am convinced we will continue to excel, despite the economic uncertainty that lies ahead in 2016.”
