Weasel in the works bring LHC down

The Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland will be down for a couple of days, thanks to a weasel
Cern described the problem as “electrical perturbation” that has affected all accelerators.
It describes the causes of the fault as a short circuit caused by a “fouine” on a transformer, which has damaged the connections.
A fouine (French) is known in English as a weasel or beech marten.
The charred body of the small mammal was discovered near a gnawed-through power cable.
