Outpost24, a supplier of vulnerability management solutions, has named IndigoCube as exclusive reseller of its software in Africa.
Based in Sweden, Outpost24 develops software to help organisations identify vulnerabilities in both their IT and operational technology (OT) systems, and then take remedial action.
“Cyber-threats are always evolving, and so are your systems, so continuous monitoring for vulnerabilities is a critical component of the cyber-security mix,” says Godfrey Kutumela, head of cybercrime and security at IndigoCube. “Our strategy is to partner with leading vendors, and we are thus delighted to be working with the leader in vulnerability management.”
Kutumela adds that one of the primary strengths of Outpost24’s offerings is their capability for monitoring both IT and OT systems.
“Mobility and now the Internet of Things are radically increasing the vulnerabilities of corporate and government systems. Outpost24’s ability to monitor both types of systems with the same rigour is absolutely vital, a compelling value proposition for clients in the 21st Century,” Kutumela explains.
IndigoCube will be offering Outpost24’s products as a managed service, thus giving clients the cost benefits of economies of scale, as well as access to IndigoCube’s deep cyber-security expertise.
“We selected IndigoCube as our African partner because of its understanding of the fluid cyber-threat landscape, its skills and experience in the field, and its proactive attitude,” says Daan Dia, business development director at Outpost24.
“Africa is a continent of opportunity, and it sees the role technology can play in its future success. Protecting that technology, and the data it contains, is critical, and we aim to make a major contribution to that jointly with our new partner.”
