Benu enables VAST’s WiFi network

VAST Networks has purchased the Benu Virtual Service Edge (VSE) to support growth and enhanced service experience for its WiFi network, which already includes more than 2 200 hotspots in South Africa.
VAST Networks will use this new virtual platform to provide customers, including International Services Providers and Local Businesses, with the opportunity to provide seamless Wi-Fi Services throughout South Africa.  Customers will have a true managed wireless experience regardless of location.
“We decided to partner with Benu because of the platform’s underlying architecture and ability to scale. The Benu VSE provides us an opportunity to expand our offering from WiFi to include managed business services.  This will allow us to be more agile and meet the growing needs of our customers,” says Khetan Gajjar, chief technology officer of VAST Networks.
“Benu is excited to provide VAST Networks with a solution that enhances Carrier Grade Wi-Fi across South Africa. The partnership is our first in the southern hemisphere and the first wholesale Wi-Fi provider using the Benu platform,” says Dino Di Palma, CEO of Benu Networks.  “VAST Networks is the leader in offering these services to the South Africa Market, and we look forward to working with them to extend Wi-Fi and add Managed Business solutions in the future.”
