SnapScan is a free app which can be downloaded to Android and iPhones. It enables users to pay for goods and services without needing cash, debit or credit cards. After downloading the SnapScan app on a smartphone or tablet, linked card details are securely encrypted on the device and no merchant has access to these details.
To pay using SnapScan, open the SnapScan app, tap on “Scan” and scan the SnapCode (also called a QR code) displayed at the shop or online. This identifies the merchant and prompts you to enter the amount you wish to pay. Enter your PIN to secure and complete the transaction.
