Flexenclosure, a Sweden-based designer and manufacturer of prefabricated data centre buildings and hybrid power management systems for the ICT industry, has received an order for 28 of its eSite green power solutions from Mozambican telecoms distributor Kambeny.
Kambeny has ordered 28 eSite hybrid power solutions from Flexenclosure to supply stable and reliable power to telecom sites in remote areas of Mozambique. The eSites will supply both DC and AC power for loads up to 11,4kVA.
The units will also be equipped with solar panels to maximise the use of renewable and environmentally friendly solar power, while also minimising diesel-related costs and carbon emissions.
The eSite units have been constructed in Flexenclosure’s factory in Sweden and are currently being deployed in Mozambique.
eSite is a hybrid power system for off-grid and bad-grid cell sites delivering 24/7 network uptime and diesel-related cost savings of up to 90%. eManager, an all-in-one toolbox for site power infrastructure management, including remote monitoring, power optimisation, KPI reporting and site logistics, is an integral part of the product.
“We needed a reliable and efficient hybrid power solution to enable sustainable network expansions into the most remote areas of Mozambique,” says Fernando Bilale, director of Kambeny. “After evaluating a number of alternatives, we’re confident that Flexenclosure’s solar-capable eSite system will deliver the best possible results.”
David King, CEO of Flexenclosure, adds: “Having already built two of our eCentre prefabricated data centres in Maputo and Matola, we’re pleased to be bringing our eSite product to Mozambique now too.
“eSite is the hybrid power system of choice for single- and multi-tenant sites and this order from Kambeny further expands eSite’s considerable footprint across Africa.”
