After 40 years of service, Sir John Alfred Sherry, founder and independent non-executive director of Jasco is retiring as a board member and will be emigrating permanently to Malta.
His involvement within the group is not entirely over as he will be consulting to Jasco, with a focus on expanding the business to the Middle East and North Africa.
Sherry founded Jasco in 1976 and served as chairman until 1998. He was appointed non-executive director in 1998 and was honoured for his humanitarian deeds when he was knighted in Malta in 1998. He was granted the title of Chevalier.
