Cell C has gone on the offensive against its rivals with the launch of a number of new, aggressively-priced contracts in its Pinnacle suite.
The company says it is introducing a new range of Pinnacle contract plans to cater for the broader market at various levels of affordability. These plans will range from the Pinnacle 50 through to Pinnacle 400 to supplement the three Pinnacle packages already in the market. The three existing packages will be renamed Pinnacle 600, Pinnacle 1000 and Pinnacle Unlimited with Top-Up packages now also available.
“The current Pinnacle plans are very popular and we’ve had requests to offer a wider range of plans,” says Cell C CEO, Jose dos Santos. “We have listened and have built new plans to suit every pocket.”
He says Cell C will be aggressive this summer when it comes to value. Customers signing up for a Pinnacle 100 and above, from 1 October 2016 to 31 January 2017, will receive triple the value on inclusive voice and SMS, as well as an additional 1000 minutes to call any-net using Cell C’s WiFi Calling service. Customers will receive the added value for the duration of their contract terms.
“Alongside these new packages, Cell C will also give customers signing-up for the Pinnacle 250 and above an incredible no-questions-asked, cash back bonus to spend over the holiday season as part of the promotion,” says Dos Santos.
As an example, customers signing up for the Pinnacle 250, at R299 per month will receive 250 minutes, 250 SMS’s and 250Mb of data. As part of Cell C’s summer promotion, customers will receive an additional 500 minutes, 500 SMS’s and 1000 WiFi Calling minutes per month – for the duration of their contract term. On the Pinnacle 250, customers will also receive a R3 000 cash back bonus, just for signing up with Cell C.
“We have gone out of our way to design packages that are affordable and offer exceptional value,” says Dos Santos.
At the top end – Pinnacle Unlimited customers will receive unlimited calls, unlimited SMS’s and 3Gb of data with an added promotional 7Gb of data for the duration of their contract term. They will also receive 1000 free WiFi Calling minutes and R10 000 cash back.
Customers can take up a SIM-only plan or bundle any device on a 24-month contract.
“WiFi Calling offers incredible benefits,” says Dos Santos. “Wherever there is a WiFi hotspot, customers can stay connected. For the regular traveller, WiFi Calling also makes it possible to avoid high roaming bills by allowing customers to make and receive calls at local Cell C rates, even when abroad.”
