Ideagen, a provider of governance, risk and compliance software to organisations in highly regulated industries, has been selected as the preferred vendor to provide KLM with an enhanced safety and quality management system.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, based at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, will implement the Ideagen Q-Pulse safety management software in its operations, including KLM Cityhopper and KLM Engineering & Maintenance.
The project will concentrate on safety and quality management, with particular emphasis on safety reporting in the Operational, Occupational and Environmental safety domains. All types of internal and external audits will be managed within the system to include IATA’s e-IOSA program.
Eric Hoogendijk, vice-president: safety and compliance at KLM, states: “We have great trust that Ideagen, with their solid aviation safety business knowledge, will help us to successfully introduce Q-Pulse at KLM.”
KLM is the flag carrier airline of the Netherlands and is at the forefront of the airline industry, particularly in Europe. The airline employs 32 000 staff and offers scheduled passenger and cargo services to 144 destinations globally through its fleet of 160 aircraft.
Ideagen’s head of aviation, Steven Cespedes, says: “We are absolutely delighted to be chosen by KLM, one of the world’s most prominent tier one carriers, to provide them with an enhanced safety and quality management system.
“Q-Pulse is the leading safety management software product for the aviation industry and is used by over 300 aviation organisations across the globe. This project with KLM is an exciting one for Ideagen and yet again is evidence of the strength and stature of our products in this industry.”
David Hornsby, Ideagen CEO, adds: “In working with KLM, Ideagen and Q-Pulse will be helping one of the world’s leading airlines increase operational intelligence, drive efficiency and enhance safety and compliance levels.
“We are looking forward to working with KLM and enhancing an already strong reputation for the company within the aviation industry.”
