Datacentrix has attained Gold UNITY Partner certification with F5 Networks, the market leader in application delivery, one of only two local companies to hold this level of accreditation.
Prerequisites to join the F5 UNITY Partner Programme include extensive experience within market areas, well-trained sales and technical staff, in-depth experience selling related products, a sizeable client base, financial stability, and an excellent reputation within the marketplace.
“F5 recently made the decision to rationalise the number of channel partners it had in place, placing a stronger focus on higher calibre partners,” explains Simon McCullough, major channel account manager: Sub Saharan Africa at F5 Networks. “In line with this more targeted strategy, we are pleased to welcome Datacentrix to the UNITY Partner Programme.
“In order to reach F5 Gold UNITY partner status, a company must have a minimum of two certified engineers in place as well as maintaining the requisite sales accreditations. Datacentrix has already demonstrated its commitment to F5, going beyond this requirement to certify four technical staff members.”
The relationship will become further entrenched later this year, with Datacentrix pledging to join F5’s new Partner Support Programme by the end of 2016, McCullough states. “This means that the organisation will be able provide more in-depth support to Level One and Two customer support calls.
“Datacentrix is a critical partner to F5,” McCullough continues. “Its reach into the local enterprise space is unsurpassed, assisting us to deepen relationships into our joint customer base.”
Says Chris Pretorius, Cisco business unit manager at Datacentrix: “This certification demonstrates Datacentrix’ allegiance to F5 and the growth of our joint business. We look forward to deepening this partnership, providing improved, more comprehensive support to South African clients.”
