Jonas Bogoshi is to lead Dell EMC’s channel team in South Africa and the SADC region.
Bogoshi was country manager of EMC in South Africa prior to the merger of Dell and EMC in September 2016.
In December it was announced that Dell country manager Doug Wooley is to lead the South African operation from February 2017; and it emerged yesterday that Bogoshi is to take on the channel leadership role.
Aongus Hegarty, president: Europe, Middle East and Africa at Dell EMC, tells IT-Online that the merged company is ready to tackle the new year under a dynamic leadership team.
“In South Africa, as in the rest of Africa, we are going to market as one team and one organisation.
“Doug will lead that team and Jonas, who has done a superb job at EMC, will lead the channel in South Africa and the SADC region.
“Between these two leaders, they have a tremendous wealth of experience. They are two very strong leaders, and provide continuity of the leadership team.”
Bogoshi joined EMC in September 2015 as country manager. He was previously with T-Systems and Gijima.
Woolley joined Dell SA as GM in 2015, after spending four years at Business Connexion as group executive focused on the successful restructuring of the company’s technology division.
Hegarty adds the Dell EMC is looking forward to a successful year in South Africa, having recorded double-digit growth in the previous year.
